Helen Coleman graduated from Macquarie University, Sydney in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) degree in geology, majoring in structural geology. Helen joined PSM in February, 2002, and completed a Masters in Engineering Science (Engineering Geology) at the University of New South Wales in 2005. She was appointed Technical Development Officer in charge of staff training at PSM in January 2010.

FIELDS OF SPECIAL COMPETENCE

Ms Coleman specialises in geological and geotechnical studies for large civil projects and open pit
mines. Her focus has been on:

• Geological and particularly structural mapping
• Specialised geotechnical logging of borehole core
• Acoustic and Optical Televiewer Analysis and Interpretation
• Geological modelling and interpretation, particularly three dimensional modelling
• Geotechnical modelling in both hard and soft rock terrain
• Preparation of factual and interpretative reports
