Derek Anderson is a Principal with Pells Sullivan Meynink. Derek's consulting experience has
included detailed numerical modelling, geotechnical investigation, analysis, design and
construction supervision and monitoring. He has been involved in a wide range of projects
including; tunnelling, slope stability assessment, multi-storey and high rise building basement and
foundation designs, dam design and construction, residential and commercial development, and
the design and construction of lined and covered storage facilities.
• Design and safety assessment of water and tailings dam embankments
• Design and costing of tunnelling projects
• Design of geosynthetic lined hazardous waste and other fluid storage facilities
• River and creek diversions
• Capping and remediation of tailings deposits
• Supervising and monitoring civil engineering construction projects
• Design of road pavements, structural foundations, embankments, excavation support & retaining structures
• Interpretation and analysis of laboratory and field investigation data
• Preparation of technical specifications and reporting
• Preparation of Design drawings for construction
• Risk Assessments of soil and rock slopes including RTA and AGS approaches.
